Miss you Dad!

I never thought you’d be gone!

You never said goodbye,

Gone, before my realization’s dawn!

A million times I cried!

If Love alone could have saved you,

You never would have died!


You were the warmth of our sky!

Anchor of our souls, Our guiding light,

Why couldn’t you hear our Cry!


I had to tell you how I feel!

That sometimes I was rude, unreasonable,

But my intent was never real!


When you reached out for my hand and I held it!

You Said, we all are like writing on the sand,

I didn’t know really you meant it!


It broke my heart to lose you,

But you didn’t go alone

Part of me went with you!


Today, I am a father Dad….

I have a girl, I wish you could see her eyes shine,

When I hold her hands, the way you once held mine!


I know you are watching her!

In the breeze she’ll hear your whisper,
In the Warmth of the sun she will Embrace you!

If dreams weren’t dreams and dreams came true!

I wouldn’t be here and I’d be with you,

I miss you Dad, I so badly do!
